By Duke B
Whether you're a man or a woman, this stuff smells terrific in your hair! I've got a long history of dry and itchy scalp. My wife finally got me to try this product saying it would help and it did give me some improvement. I was very satisfied with my hair, but not with my scalp. My scalp still felt dry and itchy but not as much as before. My wife's friend who is also a M.D. suggested tea tree oil based shampoos -Organic Health Invigorating Tea Tree Oil Shampoo & Conditioner + FREE Tea Tree Oil Soap Bars by Herbal Authority. This actually stopped the itching on my scalp and as long as I continue to use it, I don't get flakes anymore.WEN smells awesome, my wife loves it and still uses it, but since tt oil products are less expensive I use them most days now and leave my wife the better smelling shampoo. Yes, Wen is the best smelling shampoo I've ever experienced. If you're only dealing with mild skin dryness, I'd say WEN Green Tea Conditioner is perfect. It does help give life to your hair. If you've got a lot of dry skin problems, I highly suggest trying the tea tree oil products. Heck, if you can afford both then that would be my top choice actually.

We do NOT need to strip the natural oils from our hair and then replace them. We simply need to clean any dirt from our hair. I have coarse, dry hair and it does better using Wen products that do NOT have the harsh foaming agents. The smell is natural NOT perfume which I like.

bought this through amazon because i was really wanting to keep my natural hair chemical free. bought a 16 oz bottle for like 20 something bucks and when i got it in the mail the first thing i noticed was the smell. (which btw wasn't pleasent and stays in your hair until you wash with a traditional shampoo)but i thought "whatever" i can get over the strong smell. so i used it the first time and didn't notice a difference with my hair, i didn't like the product then but wasn't willing to throw it away, so i tossed it in the back of the closet and there it sat. 6 months ago i dyed my hair a shade lighter. i noticed my hair was brittle and split ends were developing quicker so i thought of this stuff and pulled it out. i washed my hair in the morning before going into work. (btw i hadn't washed my hair at all that weekend and so i really needed to wash out my grimey hair!) so with that said. i followed the directions once more and used the full amount of suggested pumps... let me just say that 16 oz of this stuff would last me less than a week if i washed my hair everyday (which i don't) i was appalled at how much product the instructions ask you to use, but whatever...so i wash my hair and towel dry, comb it with a wide tooth comb toss it in a low bun and run out the door for work (I work in data entry) so an hour at work and my head is so itchy, and smells like special shampoo (like maybe the kind you use to get rid of lice or dandruff or something) so i am not used to the smell and it keeps driving me crazy. i had been scratching at my head all morning long and now i am in complete insecurity phase (did that cute guy from engineering see me scratch my smelly head!?!?) so then my bun is a mess so i have to undo my bun and redo it (i usually put my damp washed hair in a bun and when it dries it gives me awesome curls that loosen into waves (I have middle of the back blonde hair)so i undo my bun and my hair is nothing but a mess; its limp and scraggly, smells funny, itches, and it still looks so greasy. the ends are a little dry but the scalp is so oily it literally looks like i haven't washed my hair in a month! so i was super embarrassed and pulled it back up into a bun. made it through the rest of the day got home and immediately washed my hair with a traditional shampoo. ran out to sally's beauty supply and bought a bottle of argan oil to put in my dry hair to tame the frizz and make it shiney, a hydrating hair mask to use once a week, and a really good deep conditioner for after i shampoo. my hair is in the best shape of its life.people... if you don't damage your hair with chemicals like straighteners, and dyes. if you aren't scorching your hair with a blow dryer and flat iron. if you aren't brushing your hair when its wet then you probably have healthy hair and won't need a shampoo like this! and if you do damage your hair with the above mentioned techniques then there are so many other things you can do rather then by this stuff.i know that this has recieved a lot of great reviews but if you are on the fence about buying this insanely pricey product then i hope my review has swung you away from the ledge. it truly is a horrible product both times i used it and a pricey trial and error.
