I have a host of broken back bones because I didn't know I had an illness that made the bones weak. I continued to work because of this pad. I wore it under my clothes while I worked in the ER. When I had to go do something, I unplugged it at the pad, left it on, and went to do the task. When I was done I came back to my office and plugged it in.It worked so well I discarded the receipt. I bought a second one for my sister two years ago, and that one is still working. Never had a problem with the heat other than turning it up too high by accident. Everything else worked as well as it should.I have slept on this, left in one all night, gotten it bunched up under my clothes, sat on it and operated it under inhumanly hot and humid temperatures in Florida. I have taken it in my suitcase, shoved it into backpacks and sat on it by accident (It's soft to me). I also have operated in plugged into a surge protector for the pst two years. Florida has killed many of my electronics, so I wasn't surprised to get the F1/F2 error. There's a fix on the internet, but I am not sure it will work, so I am taking a chance on another. I've heard they honor the warranty but I tossed the receipt and to tell the truth, I did abuse it.Pros: all of the above it works, even on contoured body parts (I've used it on my feet as well), configurable timer, manual off/on option, long detachable cord, durable construction, flexible design, lighted LCD panel, washable (I have only hand washed mine), it's king sized.Cons: not for a wide girth - there is an extension strap but it's thin and uncomfortable - make your own. The cord is long, which is a disadvantage if you run a lot of cables everywhere. You'll be depressed if it stops working...Long story short, I am buying another - can't find one in a brick and mortar store so I am surviving on the microwave ones until this one comes, and this time I am saving the receipt.

I've probably reviewed this before. This is the third one I've bought. Two for me, one for my husband. This heating pad has a wide center which means it covers more of the back than other heating pads. With the Velcro attachments this can be wrapped around a knee or a shoulder or hip or anything. It is very flexible and gives off terrific heat.

Heat VERY hot even on lowest setting. Need to cut off after about 30 minutes and then turn back on warm setting until it gets too hot again. Love soft washable cover, lumbar shape, and Velcro straps. Would wear it all day if came with a battery pack!
