The quality of this turbinado has been good the few times I have ordered it. I tend to use it for holiday gifts and to feed my water kefir or sweeten any other cultured drinks. For those purposes, and as a sweetener for baking or hot tea/coffee, the flavor is very good. But, other sweeteners contain more nutritious minerals -Coconut Sugar Madhava Organic Blonde Coconut Sugar, 16-Ounce (Pack of 6)Sucanat -Wholesome Sweeteners Fair Trade Organic Sucanat (Brown Sugar), 16-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)Date Sugar -NOW Foods Date Sugar, 16 Ounce Bags (Pack of 4)I use these three more than turbinado when cooking and baking for my family and kids so they have a variety of sweeteners from different sources, and they all have delicious flavors and variable benefits - like different mineral contents.Molasses is also a very good choice and contains iron for the young ones!So, I only gave this four stars because there are better sweeteners out there, but if you are looking for turbinado, this brand has a clean, good quality product that has never disappointed me!

There is a none of that smooth taste like one would expect from a Turbinado sugar. Should have bought the Sugar In The Raw instead of trying to economize.

I friend recommended that I try using turbinado sugar. It has a wonderful slightly molasses flavor that I enjoy. This was a great buy compared to some of the other items I looked at.
